For our March social, we thought we’d visit the Ikon Gallery again – it was so great to be there in March last year, among the cherry blossom in Oozells Square!

We’re planning to visit the gallery together, before going on to a café for something to eat and drink. We’ll meet up in front of the Ikon at 1.00pm.

You can see a bit about the current exhibitions on the Ikon’s website at https://www.ikon-gallery.org/whats-on. These include ‘Start the Press!’ which features an antique, flatbed printing press from Wolverhampton School of Art. This is being operated by a group of West Midlands printmakers as a functioning printmaking studio, producing original prints, which are displayed on the gallery walls.

After we’ve eaten, those who want to can head back to Oozells Square for the free outdoor Cherry Blossom Concert being put on by Birmingham Contemporary Music Group at 3.00pm. You can find out more about this on their website at https://www.bcmg.org.uk/Event/blossom-24.
